Portable ChordEase is a reliable application dedicated to helping you compose, learn and play complicated scores or chords. The program can easily read input MIDI signals from one or several electronic musical instruments, then instantly alter the sounds, before rendering them.
Play proper notes, pitches and rhythms
Portable ChordEase can help you properly play the desired scores, regardless of the tempo, complexity or level of difficulty. The program can record the MIDI signal from the musical instrument (for example the electronic piano) you connect to the computer. The sounds are altered in order to match preset scores, then played back in real time.
While you are required to synchronize with the score you prepared in advance, you can simply render all the notes in the key of C major. The metronome function is designed to help you in this endeavor, while the program can play the sequence of chords at any time.
Composing and practicing scores
Preparing the scores you wish to play requires that you create a sequence of chords or load an existing song from a supported file. The program allows you to manually insert chords in the editor area, then set their root key, bass, duration or measure.
Moreover, you can adjust the tempo of the entire score, as well as multiply certain segments of it or transpose the notes by the desired number of measures. The software allows you to practice by connecting the electronic musical instrument to the computer or using the digital piano keyboard.
Map the MIDI note signals
Portable ChordEase allows you to create MIDI note mappings in order to facilitate associations between signals and altered sounds. The program allows you to manually set the musical score attributes, such as lead stream, bass or harmony. This way, you can make sure that you do not miss difficult notes or modulations in the song.

Tuning for the ChordEase User
It is impossible to know how a professional user of ChordEase would need to work with chords because all of the chord types and other information that are contained in your application would be unknown.
Anyway, ChordEase for Music Xpression will hopefully be helpful. Here is what we think of a typical music Xpression user and what they would expect to see in ChordEase.
I believe that most chord software would allow the user to work with at least one diatonic minor and one augmented chord type and use those chords from a given key.
As in our DAWs, one would want to be able to import their own chord libraries into ChordEase. Libraries from other software may not be of immediate use to you. This would be the case if you have imported a chord library from a different software and then wished to mix chord types together. If you imported a chord from a software library not compiled by us, I do not know how that library is compiled and how the information is stored.
I have included chord libraries for a few famous software applications in ChordEase. The information is stored in a comma-delimited text file. If one wish to import those libraries into their own software, they would do so by moving a comma into a special chord type column and then right-clicking it and selecting “Import”.
Most software will have a default mode in which a scale is used. Some software will allow the user to select the scale that is used for all chords. Unfortunately, I do

Why does ReadProcessMemory() fail when I run my program with VirtualAllocEx()?
I have a strange problem that I can’t solve. When I use the VirtualAllocEx() function of kernel32.dll to allocate memory inside my program’s process – my program cannot access this memory. The ReadProcessMemory() function cannot access memory that I allocate with VirtualAllocEx().
The strange thing is, if I run the same program with VirtualFree() and FreeVirtualMemory() the program is able to access that memory that I allocated with VirtualAllocEx().
Can someone explain why it doesn’t work with VirtualAllocEx() and ReadProcessMemory() while it works with VirtualFree() and FreeVirtualMemory()?
PS: Here’s some parts of my code:
BYTE* FullBuffer = NULL;
//Pseudo Process Memory.
FullBuffer = VirtualAllocEx(…);
int Size = ReadProcessMemory(ProcessHandle, FullBuffer,…);
//Example of using VirtualAlloc() function
FullBuffer = VirtualAlloc(…,…);
int Size = ReadProcessMemory(ProcessHandle, FullBuffer,…);
Do not use VirtualAllocEx()!
It works only on VxD memory.
In your case it causes a crash of your process:
First you allocate only paged memory (VxD), then you free it with VirtualFree().
Next you allocate memory non-paged (VxS), try to access it by Read
What’s New in the?
The program has been designed to help you practice your scores, either in real time or with the help of the recording function, or to compose new ones.
You may take advantage of this feature by creating your own MIDI score, or load one from supported.mid files.
In the latter case, the program will import the MIDI representation of any song, then apply a series of changes, such as transposing the notes or altering the pitch.
Whether you wish to master complex chords and extended rhythms, or create your own custom composition, Portable ChordEase will certainly help you realize your goals in a short amount of time.
The application is designed to work with any synthesizer connected to a computer, whether a MIDI keyboard, drum machine, MIDI sequencer or any other MIDI device.
The program will save the entire sequence of notes in the MIDI file before playing it back, so that you may work on your score even offline.
As a result, the program will allow you to play through all the notes of the song or sample them from the device you are using. The program is highly compatible with all the USB MIDI interfaces, or a native MIDI sequencer.
It is highly recommended that you choose the correct mode of the MIDI interface or MIDI sequencer application for sound reproduction and connection to Portable ChordEase. For the most part, the program will choose the best available option.
